Cultural variety
Getting to know each other and intercultural exchange form the core of the camp: for seven days the participants will live, work and play football together. In numerous workshops the youngsters will deal actively with the cultural variety of Europe through topics such as peace, children's rights and fair play, and practice several forms of intercultural communication together. The highlight of the week will be a massive fair play football tournament in the capital of Liechtenstein, Vaduz, from 18 to 20 September.
Erzik attends
UEFA first vice-president Şenes Erzik will be attending the football tournament in Liechtenstein in his capacity as the chairman of the UEFA Fair Play and Social Responsibility Committee. The United Nations Special Representative for Sports and Development, Willi Lemke, said: "I am extremely pleased about this project, which brings together youngsters from throughout Europe. The camps offer an excellent opportunity to promote Fair Play and mutual understanding among young citizens. The youngsters have a unique chance to engage in intercultural dialogue through football, and to meet, exchange views and learn about respect at first hand."
