European football is mourning the death of UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body member Maurizio Laudi, who has passed away at the age of 61.

Experienced specialist
Maurizio Laudi was a highly qualified specialist in the area of sports jurisdiction, and had considerable experience as a single judge for disciplinary matters within Italian professional football. He became a member of the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body in 1998, and also served as a UEFA match delegate.

Respected by everyone
Maurizio Laudi was respected by all those who knew and worked with him as a great colleague, with a heart-warming personality. UEFA wishes to convey its deepest sympathy to his family and friends.
