
The draw for the UEFA Women's EURO 2013 qualifying play-offs will take place on Friday 21 September from 12.45CET at UEFA headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.
Conducted by UEFA Executive Committee member Karen Espelund and UEFA General Secretary Gianni Infantino, the draw involves six teams who will play for the three remaining places in the finals over two legs on 20/21 and 24/25 October. Their identities will be decided when the qualifying group stage ends on Wednesday 19 September; the seven group winners and the runners-up with the best record against the top five in their section will qualify directly for the final tournament in Sweden, while the six remaining runners-up will participate in the play-offs.
The six teams entering the play-off draw will be divided in two pots with three seeded and three unseeded teams in accordance with their UEFA women's national team coefficient rankings established at the conclusion of the group stage. The draw will define the three pairings with the three seeded sides drawn into position two and playing at home in the second leg.
Hosts Sweden will join the 11 qualified countries in the final tournament which will be held from 10 to 28 July 2013. There will be three groups of four teams decided by a draw on 9 November, with the top two from each pool and the two best third-placed sides going into the quarter-finals, from when the competition is a straight knockout.
