
UEFA announced today that CCTV has been awarded the exclusive media rights for UEFA EURO 2012 in China.
CCTV will broadcast a total of 27 matches live on free-to-air television on CCTV-5 reaching 360 million households in China.
All live matches will be simulcast on CCTV’s internet and mobile portals, respectively cntv.cn and CCTV mobile. In addition CCTV will broadcast support programmes building up to the tournament and daily highlights programmes for every match.
Commenting on the agreement UEFA said “We are very excited to renew our relationship with CCTV following on from our successful partnership in 2008 and we look forward to working with them again to bring all the excitement of UEFA EURO 2012 to football fans in China.”
