UEFA announced today the award of 2012-15 UEFA Champions League media rights to RCS RDS and RomTelecom in Romania.
Pay broadcasters RCS RDS and RomTelecom have been awarded all matches on a live and delayed basis as well as highlights. Each broadcaster will show three live matches as well as a highlights programme every matchnight on its ‘DIGI Sport’ and ‘Dolce Sport’ branded channels respectively.
In line with UEFA’s platform-neutral approach, the respective rights packages will also be exploited by each of the broadcasters on the internet - via digisport.ro and dolcetv.ro - as well as across their respective mobile platforms.
In order to complement this comprehensive pay offering, UEFA has preserved the ability to contract with a free-to-air broadcaster the right to transmit one live match each Tuesday throughout the season, including the final and the UEFA Super Cup, as well as a Tuesday highlights programme. An announcement in respect of this remaining UEFA Champions League rights will be made in due course.
