Respect is a key principle of football and the cornerstone of UEFA's values. Respect for the Game, Diversity and the Environment is a message UEFA promotes at all its matches – with the aim of preserving the integrity and health of the sport at all levels, of protecting and perpetuating the values of football, and of showing solidarity.

At the current UEFA European Under-21 Championship final round in Denmark, the Respect campaign is again being deployed in the stadium and in match programmes. Messages are being addressed to the audience in all four stadiums and the team captains are asked to wear Unite Against Racism armbands.

A 30-second 'Celebrate Diversity' Respect TV spot is being aired in Denmark on TV2 as well as by other U21 broadcast partners.

The Respect campaign highlights UEFA's commitment to banishing all forms of violence and discrimination and to promoting respect not only for referees, opponents and match officials, but also for rival supporters, national anthems and flags. It encourages humanitarian aid and respect for fan culture, intercultural dialogue and a healthy lifestyle. Football unites in the spirit of Respect.
