Executive Master in European Sport Governance (MESGO)
The Executive Master in European Sport Governance (MESGO) is a unique programme designed for sports sector professionals wishing to master the complex dimensions and the diversity of international practices related to professional sport in Europe. The MESGO programme draws its strength from a multidisciplinary approach to professional sport in Europe and by examining economic, political and legal perspectives to discuss and find answers to a wide array of issues facing sports managers.
The programme is spread over a period of 20 months, including nine five-day sessions addressing the following topics:

• Sports organisations (Switzerland)
• Governance (London)
• Legal framework (Brussels)
• Marketing challenges (Paris)
• Sports events (Barcelona)
• Ethics (Mainz/Frankfurt)
• The North American model (New York)
• The future of sports governance (Nyon)

UEFA Certificate/Diploma in Football Management
UEFA is offering a two-tier academic programme (foundation and advanced courses) to the staff of its 53 member national associations as a part of the Knowledge & Information Sharing Scenario (KISS) initiative.
The UEFA Certificate and Diploma in Football Management (UEFA CFM and UEFA DFM) are courses combining elearning modules with face-to-face seminars. Run by academic experts, each module focuses on an important aspect of the management of football associations. For the UEFA CFM, which is more theoretically orientated, the modules cover:
• The organisation of football
• Strategic and performance management of a football association
• Operational management of a football association
• Football event management
• Football marketing and sponsorship
• Internal and external communication in football associations
The UEFA DFM, which is more practice-orientated, concentrates on the organisation of a football match/event and looks at:
• The management of volunteers
• Stadium management
• Marketing operations
• PR and media operations
These courses are issued, in ECTS credits, through the Swiss Graduate School of Public Administration (IDHEAP) at the University of Lausanne.
