Lokomotiv rocked by Obiorah injury

FC Lokomotiv Moscow's James Obiorah will be sidelined for a month due to a knee injury.

FC Lokomotiv Moscow have been dealt a major blow with the news that Nigerian midfield player James Obiorah will be sidelined for a month due to a knee injury.

Damaged meniscus
The 23-year-old, who played in his country's FIFA World Cup match match against England, damaged a meniscus in Wednesday's 2-0 win over SC Rotor Volgograd and is expected to be out for between three and four weeks.

Grazer tie
Russian Premier-Liga leaders Lokomotiv rely heavily on their talented playmaker, who has scored five goals in 18 matches so far this season. Obiorah had spells in Switzerland and Belgium with Grasshopper-Club and RSC Anderlecht before arriving in Russia, but he will be missing when Lokomotiv take on Austrian club Grazer AK in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League third qualifying round tie next week.
