Maldini agrees Milan extension

Paolo Maldini has renewed his AC Milan contract until June 2007, keeping him at the club until the age of 39.

Loyal servant
Maldini, who has spent his entire career with Milan, made his Serie A debut in January 1985 and in a glittering career has gone on to win seven Serie A titles, four European Champion Clubs' Cups, four UEFA Super Cups, one Coppa Italia, four Italian Super Cups and two European/South American Cups. His contract was due to expire in 2006.

Ambrosini extension
Meanwhile, Milan midfield player Massimo Ambrosini has extended his deal with the Italian champions until 2008. The 27-year-old has been with the club since 1995, although he spent the 1997/98 campaign on loan at Vicenza Calcio. This season he has played 17 games in Serie A and seven in the Champions League.
