Crespo return delights Chelsea

Chelsea FC have confirmed that Hernán Crespo will return to play for the English club following his loan at AC Milan.

'Delighted'
The 30-year-old former CA River Plate, Parma FC and S.S. Lazio forward scored 18 goals in all competitions last season for Milan, including two in the UEFA Champions League final defeat by Liverpool FC. "We're delighted Hernán is coming back," said Chelsea chief executive Peter Kenyon. "He had a great season on loan at Milan and showed what a good player he is. He is very happy to be coming back to Stamford Bridge and I know he will be welcomed by everyone."

Monday return
Crespo joined Chelsea FC for €24.25m ahead of a 2003/04 campaign in which he scored a credible ten goals in 19 Premiership appearances despite failing to settle in London. The English champions began pre-season training yesterday but Crespo's return will be delayed until Monday because the Serie A season finished later.
