Hašek wary of hungry Henry

Martin Hašek is hoping that Thierry Henry will have a few more days off to nurse his groin injury as AC Sparta Praha look to earn a point at Arsenal FC.

Club record
The 36-year-old was a member of the Sparta side that lost 4-2 at Arsenal in 2000, and also watched with astonishment from the substitutes' bench as Henry overhauled Ian Wright's club scoring record with a virtuoso two-goal display that destroyed his team in Prague a fortnight ago.

Thigh problem
"In the first leg you could see Henry was coming back after a long injury but even then he scored two goals and could have got a hat-trick," Hašek told uefa.com of the striker who missed Arsenal's weekend Premiership game at Tottenham Hotspur FC with a thigh problem linked to an old groin injury.

Henry threat
"Henry could be even more dangerous when fully fit. If he plays at Highbury, how we defend against him will be crucial," he added. "If you want to stop him you can't allow balls to be played in behind the defence. When he is running it is difficult to stop him. He can score or set up chances for his team-mates at any time."

'Slight risk'
It seems Henry will line up at Highbury tonight, though, with Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger saying: "Thierry has a good chance to play. That was planned last week. We tested him in training on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and his response was OK. If there was a slight risk then I would not take it."

Highbury memories
Hašek looks back fondly on his last trip to Highbury five years ago. "The great memory I take from the Highbury match was the fantastic atmosphere," he said. "In Prague, Arsenal did what they needed to do and won 1-0, but at home they played at a much higher level. There was a different situation at the club then to the one we find ourselves in now. We were top of the table at home with a ten-point lead and we had a confident team. There really was the feeling in the dressing-room that we could go there and win. Now it is different.

Point to prove
"Arsenal have nine points after three games so they don't have to be nervous going into the game, but we can't afford to underestimate their side," said Hašek. "Despite our problems, we want to win this match like every match. But in truth we would be satisfied with one point from Highbury."

Hašek ambitious
Hašek, for one, has not given up hope of a place in the last 32 of the UEFA Champions League. "The decisive matches for qualifying will come in the last two rounds, and for us that is against [AFC] Ajax away and [FC] Thun at home," he said. "I think eight points could be enough for second place so we need a point from the Arsenal game and then to win our last two matches. I know we have a more realistic chance of finishing third but we have never given up before."
