Dani downed by ankle knock

Real Betis Balompié striker Dani Martín faces three to four weeks on the sidelines after spraining his ankle in Saturday's derby against Sevilla FC. He is certain to miss Wednesday's UEFA Champions League game against Liverpool FC and is also expected to miss the Matchday 6 encounter with RSC Anderlecht in Spain.

Derby defeat
The 24-year-old sustained the injury in a challenge with Adriano Correia and was substituted at half-time as Betis lost 1-0 against their city rivals. He will undergo further tests on Monday to determine the extent of the damage.

Oliveira absence
Dani scored Betis's winner in the 1-0 Matchday 4 victory against Chelsea FC and his absence leaves coach Llorenç Serra Ferrer with a severely depleted forward line. Last season’s top scorer, Ricardo Oliveira, is expected to miss the rest of the campaign with torn knee ligaments, leaving Ferrer without an established centre-forward to lead the line.
