César completes Inter switch

FC Internazionale Milano have signed César from S.S. Lazio in a deal that sees Alberto Quadri and Guilherme Siqueira move in the opposite direction.

FC Internazionale Milano have signed Brazilian midfielder César from S.S. Lazio in a deal that sees Alberto Quadri and Guilherme Siqueira move in the opposite direction on loan.

Reluctant departure
César's contract at the Stadio Olimpico was due to expire in the summer and with the player wanting to move elsewhere, the side have reluctantly agreed to let him leave on loan until the end of the season. The 31-year-old, who has already signed a pre-contractual agreement with the Nerazzurri committing himself until 2008, is now eligible for Inter's UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie against AFC Ajax, which starts next month.

Talented makeweights
The move ends four-and-a-half years in the Italian capital for César, who has made 86 appearances since joining from AD São Caetano in 2001, scoring 13 goals. In return, promising youngster Alberto Quadri will join Lazio at the end of the season after completing a loan spell at AS Pizzighettone, as well as the loan services of Brazilian midfielder Siqueira de Oliveira Luciano.

Choutos loan
Meanwhile, Inter have loaned Greek striker Lampros Choutos to Reggina Calcio until the end of the season just days after the 26-year-old returned from a loan spell at RCD Mallorca.
