Houllier 'not celebrating yet'

Olympique Lyonnais coach Gérard Houllier insisted his side must retain their focus after earning a 1-0 first-leg lead at PSV Eindhoven.

Gérard Houllier, Lyon coach
We're not celebrating yet. We deserved the win, and I'm delighted with the mentality of my players. It was a physically demanding match, but it was never dirty. My players won because they wanted to. That's why we survived the last ten minutes after the red card. The return will be very tough too, though. It will be another fight and we may need to score again. PSV are a great team, very organised, and we beat them because we kept a sturdy midfield. After Cris's injury we played with a makeshift defence and that fortunately went quite well. I am very proud of my players.

Guus Hiddink, PSV coach
We played very well in the first half and it was only a great save by [Grégory] Coupet that stopped us taking the lead. If we had scored then we would have had a cushion. We only made a few errors, and we created some good chances, but in the second half, for the first ten or 12 minutes, we started nervously. And if you cannot relax and you are losing possession all the time, it is very difficult to deal with Lyon. The result was disappointing, but you have to stay positive. At the top level, clubs have to be ambitious, and we must try and come up with an answer in the return match.
