Mancini wary of favourites' tag

Roberto Mancini knows "it won't be easy" for FC Internazionale Milano to see off Villarreal CF in the last eight despite a comfortable defeat of AFC Ajax.

A fine strike from Dejan Stanković helped FC Internazionale Milano book a quarter-final encounter with Villarreal CF following a 3-2 aggregate victory against AFC Ajax. Coach Roberto Mancini knows the tie against the Spanish side "won't be easy" despite the Nerazzurri dominating the second leg against their Dutch opponents in northern Italy. uefa.com rounds up the reaction from the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.

Roberto Mancini, Inter coach
I'm really satisfied with the team's performance. To play a week later than everybody else was a bit strange - it seemed everything was already decided but it wasn't. We created plenty of chances in front of goal, but we were not ruthless enough with our finishing. Adriano played quite well and his fitness is improving, even though he missed the penalty. I'm concerned about Villarreal because some people might think we are favourites, but we aren't, because anything can happen at this stage of the competition. They play on a small pitch and it won't be easy.

Danny Blind, Ajax coach
Inter have good players in defence and we have to give them credit for not allowing us many scoring opportunities. Obviously I'm disappointed to have gone out. Our plan was to keep it 0-0 for as long as possible and hope to score late in the game. I'm satisfied that we kept the game goalless for quite a while. In the first 25 minutes we were forced to defend, but then we had a bit more space, although we were not sharp enough in attack. Urby Emanuelson did not play because he had a minor muscle injury and we did not want to risk aggravating it.
