Zagłębie fixture
The Romanian vice-champions, who start their LIGA I campaign on Friday with a home game against FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt, have put the finishing touches to the squad that will face Zagłębie Lubin in the UEFA Champions League second qualifying round next week by bringing in 25-year-old central defender Rada and 29-year-old striker Zaharia.

Gloria striker
Rada has played 124 top-tier games in Romania and has also been capped twice by Romania. Barring a one-month spell at FC National Bucuresti, he has spent the last four years at Rapid. Zaharia, meanwhile, was Gloria's top scorer last season with eleven goals in 31 league games. He has scored twice in Gloria's UEFA Intertoto Cup campaign too, but will miss the concluding leg of their third round tie at Club Atlético de Madrid. "History can be written at Steaua," he said. "An Intertoto final cannot compare with UEFA Champions League matches."
