AS Roma have signed Ghanaian midfielder Ahmed Apimah Barusso from Serie B side Rimini Calcio while sending teenager Simone Palermo on loan in the opposite direction.

Five-year contract
The Giallorossi have reportedly paid €1.7m to acquire half of Barusso's playing licence from Rimini, with the 22-year-old former SS Manfredonia Calcio player moving to the Stadio Olimpico on a five-year contract. Midfielder Palermo, 18, leaves Roma for 12 months at least. Barusso caught the eye in his only campaign with Rimini, despite being limited to eight league appearances and two goals by a broken leg sustained last October. Fully recovered, he can look forward to participating in the UEFA Champions League with Serie A runners-up Roma.
