Archubi targets success at Olympiacos

Argentinian midfielder Rodrigo Javier Archubi cannot wait to play in the UEFA Champions League after joining Olympiacos CFP on loan from CA Lanús with a view to a permanent €3.5m switch at the end of the season.

The 22-year-old, who scored six goals in 55 league games in his homeland, said: "I have joined a big club and am glad to be in Greece, the birthplace of my mother. My aim is to adjust as soon as possible, to win the league title and to do well in the UEFA Champions League. It's an advantage for me that Olympiacos have signed several Argentinians and I know that we'll all get along well." Archubi's countrymen Leonel Núñez, Luciano Galletti and Cristián Ledesm have all moved to Piraeus this summer.
