Avram Grant admitted that the UEFA Champions League is Chelsea FC's "main target" for the season after the English club took a step closer to next year's final in Moscow by sealing a qualification berth from Group B. Didier Drogba, with two goals, was the star attraction as the Blues brushed aside Rosenborg BK, although the Norwegian club would join them in the last 16 if they can draw on Matchday 6 at FC Schalke 04.

Trond Henriksen, Rosenborg coach
We are still in second position, and only need a draw in our last match against Schalke, but we haven't really started to think about that game yet. When we come up against a team of Chelsea's calibre we have to play to our maximum. We didn't do that today, and also made them look good by losing the ball too often in midfield. We were very sloppy and failed to do the things we were good at against Valencia. And we were much too passive, giving them four easy goals.

But we lost against a very good team who were a lot better than us. They had good pace both with and without the ball, and were strong in the tackle. We have secured a place in the UEFA Cup, but we are not sitting here and smiling after a match like today, even if it was against Chelsea. We may not have done a very good job tonight, but if you look as the group as a whole we have.

Avram Grant, Chelsea coach
We played good football, scored four goals and created many chances, but the most important thing is that we qualified for the next round with a game to go, especially as we dropped two points against them in the first game. I have said before that we want to play positive football, attacking football, and I'm very happy with what's happened. We're not just winning games, but we're playing better from game to game, the tactics are right, and it's good attacking football. We're also in a good position in the league.

Didier is a very good striker. It's easier for him when we pass the ball well and create chances. I was freezing in the second half! But I was warm in the heart. It's a long way until May but Chelsea have never been in the final and this is one of our targets, maybe the main target, because we want to be a big club. We will do it, and I hope it will be this year. Rosenborg need a draw so they have a good chance to go through, although it is not easy to get a draw at Schalke. They played well at Stamford Bridge and in the games against Valencia.
