Beşiktaş JK playmaker Ricardinho will be out of action for six weeks, missing his side's Group A decider, after breaking his wrist in a freak training accident.

Instant operation
A shot from Chilean midfielder Rodrigo Tello hit the Brazilian's left wrist during a session and he was forced to leave the pitch shortly afterwards. With doctors diagnosing a broken wrist, Ricardinho was sent for surgery and he will not be available again for another six weeks, missing his side's UEFA Champions League game at FC Porto on 11 December with Beşiktaş needing a win to reach the Round of 16.

In and out
The 31-year-old Ricardinho has been in and out of the Beşiktaş squad this season. He has made three UEFA Champions League appearances but has been out of the starting XI in recent domestic games, with his side fourth in the Süper Lig.
