Andrés Iniesta will miss the first leg of FC Barcelona's UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie away to Arsenal FC on Wednesday after suffering a small tear to his right thigh during the 1-0 victory at RCD Mallorca.

The Spain midfielder was replaced by Lionel Messi after 51 minutes of the Liga contest on Saturday and subsequent tests revealed a muscle tear which will sideline the 25-year-old for up to ten days. Iniesta has made eight appearances for the holders in the UEFA Champions League this season. The second leg takes place at Camp Nou on 6 April.
