Valencia CF will be without Joaquín for their UEFA Champions League Group C trip to Rangers FC next Wednesday after the winger sprained his left ankle.

The former Real Betis Balompié and Spain midfield player will be sidelined for two weeks after picking up the injury in training and will also miss his side's Liga match at FC Barcelona this weekend.

Joaquín, 29, has registered twice in four league appearances this season, and played in the 4-0 win for Unai Emery's team at Bursaspor on Matchday 1, though he was not among the scorers. Valencia, third in Group C, visit Glasgow on 20 October before hosting Rangers on 2 November.
