The UEFA Champions League Trophy kicked off its tour of London today in Duke of York Square, just down the King's Road from Sloane Square, having been left in the care of the English capital by UEFA President Michel Platini on Wednesday.

The trophy cut quite a dash in fashionable Chelsea, an area synonymous with swinging London, as Londoners and tourists flocked to see the sunshine glinting off the biggest prize in world club football.

The UEFA Champions League Trophy was joined by its UEFA Women's Champions League counterpart, with the two cups set to be showcased inside an iconic London black cab for the next five days. Fans also took time to learn more about the UEFA Champions Festival, a week-long celebration of football which starts in Hyde Park on Saturday 21 May in the run-up to the Wembley Stadium final on 28 May.
