UEFA Champions League contenders SSC Napoli have signed US Lecce goalkeeper Antonio Rosati as cover for first-choice custodian Morgan De Sanctis.

The 28-year-old has put pen to paper on a four-season deal with the southern Italian club after an impressive campaign between the sticks for Lecce.

"I am delighted with the move," said Rosati, who started all but one of Lecce's 38 Serie A games last term and was instrumental in helping the Giallorossi avoid relegation. "I am joining a prestigious and ambitious club. I'm looking forward to starting and to getting to know my new team-mates."

Napoli will play in the UEFA Champions League group stage after finishing third in Serie A in 2010/11.
