The scoreline flatters Juventus. For 70-odd minutes we were by far the better side, but you can't give away sloppy goals. We had chances, really great chances, and some of the football was excellent. I don't think there was three goals between the teams.

We took a gamble on Efe Ambrose, but he was poor for the first goal and he missed a great chance to equalise. We switched off for the second and third goals. We need a miracle now, that's the harsh reality of football at this level.

Antonio Conte, Juventus coach
My players were very good because Celtic exceeded their limits and it was not easy at all to resist their pressure. I congratulate Celtic for the game they played and for their spirit. Our second goal was excellent, a situation we have tried over and over again in training.

[Alessandro] Matri is a bit like me because when I joined Juventus I had to work hard in order to improve and play regularly. He is doing the same thing and I'm very happy with his improvement.

At half-time I told the players not to sit back too much, asking [Claudio] Marchisio and [Arturo] Vidal to help the team in this sense with their runs because they were not doing them in the first half. We prepared the defence well for set pieces and we did very well as a team in those situations.

Celtic have not achieved great [European] results in recent years, a bit like us, but don't be fooled: they are a very good side. They did not beat Barcelona and go close to earning a great result at the Camp Nou by chance. Their players ran at 200km per hour, meaning it was not easy at all tonight, so I congratulate my players on this important victory.
