Valencia CF have announced that they have reached an agreement with AC Milan which will see French international defender Adil Rami sign for the Rossoneri in January.

"Rami has received permission to train with Milan until the opening of the winter transfer window," read a statement from the Spanish club. Capped 26 times, the 27-year-old centre-back joined Valencia from LOSC Lille in 2011 after winning the double with the Ligue 1 side. He has since scored twice in 60 Liga matches for the Mestalla outfit.

Milan, who host FC Barcelona in UEFA Champions League Group H on Tuesday, are 12th in Serie A having conceded 13 goals in seven games. Seventh in the Liga, Valencia are at home to FC St Gallen in their next UEFA Europa League Group A fixture.
