FC Porto have signed Algerian international forward Nabil Ghilas on a four-year deal from Moreirense FC.
Ghilas, 23, scored 13 goals in 30 appearances for the Minho outfit last term but was unable to prevent the club from being relegated. However, his form caught the eye of the Portuguese champions who captured his signature ahead of their UEFA Champions League group stage campaign.
"I am very happy to be here," said Ghilas, the younger brother of the Stade de Reims' forward Kamel Ghilas. "[Porto] are a very big club, the best team in Portugal and one of the greatest in Europe. I have come to learn and I hope to be a champion."
The Marseille-born forward began his career in France with SO Cassis Carnoux before moving to Portugal to play for FC Vizela prior to joining Moreirense in 2011. Porto will learn their UEFA Champions League group stage opponents at the 29 August draw ceremony in Monaco.
