Jürgen Klopp, Dortmund coach
I am delighted with parts of the game. We started brightly, had a good phase after the break and scored a neat goal. We only worked out the lineup this morning, as we had some last-minute injuries. Some players really had to work hard today to make it through the game. But we have secured first place in this group, the maximum possible goal.

The team are on track. We had to make some changes – in Nuri [Şahin] we started a player who hasn't featured in quite some time. It was a totally new formation, basically a 'double eight' [two attacking players] in central midfield, and we allowed them one or two counterattacks in the first half. It was everything but perfect, but we wanted a result today to wrap up first place and we got it.

As I had said, Anderlecht are a good side. Some of their players would fit into my team, but that's not the point. Henrikh Mkhitaryan played a great game and got into positions to score goals. He isn't managing to do that [score] right now, but many players have gone through this before. It is important to stay cool and absorb the pressure. At some point it will just happen and he will score two or three. It is similar to our general situation. It hurts him because he thinks he isn't helping the team. That's wrong – he has helped the team a lot today.

Ciro Immobile was strong, he scored a great goal and worked hard. Anderlecht defended well, but he had good movement. Sometimes he plays it too risky with offsides, but today he did well.

Obviously it would have been better if we'd won, certainly in terms of our morale. It would have been nice to follow up the win against Hoffenheim with another victory, but I thought we put in a good performance in the second half, created a lot of chances and if we'd got a second it would have been game over. We can't be conceding late goals like that.

[Ciro Immobile] is an out-and-out striker – a real Italian. If you look at the best Italian strikers of recent years, they really stand out for the number of goals they score. Ciro did really well tonight. He sold the dummy and the defender slid in and then he put it away. It was a great goal and I'm delighted for him because he's had a rough time, with all that expectation on his shoulders. He's scoring goals and he'll keep on improving. It was the same with Lucas Barrios and Robert Lewandowski.

I tried to enjoy it tonight. It was important for me to get through the 90 minutes after a long time injured. I did my best to help the team and I think I needed a few minutes to get into the game, but then I thought I did well. I was absolutely worn out by the end, though.

Ciro Immobile, Dortmund forward
I'm delighted with my goal, but of course I'd rather have won the match than scored myself. At the end of the day it is important for a striker to score goals and my record [of four goals in five games] in the Champions League is OK. I hope it continues in the same vein for me in Europe and hopefully I can translate that form into the Bundesliga.

Mitchell Langerak, Dortmund goalkeeper
It was a great feeling to play in a Champions League match here. We played well in my opinion. Obviously the equaliser was disappointing, especially for me. We're expecting tough opposition in the knockout rounds. Whether I get to play or not is up to the coach, but he may go for Roman Weidenfeller. We'll see. I'll certainly be doing all I can in training.

Besnik Hasi, Anderlecht coach
Tonight I expected my lads to make up [for poor league perfomances] and that's what they did. It was important to make amends. But now we have to confirm this good performance against less glamorous opposition. If we continue like this, we can still go places this season. [Goalkeeper] Silvio Proto has saved us quite some points down the years. Tonight he put in a great display, but this goes for the entire team.

This Champions League campaign has been extraordinarly positive, I want to congratulate my players on it. It has showcased our football, something we last had at Anderlecht in 2000/01. We must not forget that we have one of the youngest sides in the Champions League and at times we were able to play refreshing attacking football.

Now we wait to see who the draw pits us against in the UEFA Europa League, but first we will focus on the Belgian First League. Our task there will not be made easier by losing five players to the Africa Cup of Nations. Due to injuries and that tournament we have to bring in at least a centre-back and a striker.

Aleksandar Mitrović, Anderlecht forward
We came here without pressure and we tried to play football. If I'd concentrated I could have scored more goals, but I thought we played as a team all game and we deserved the point. I had a bit of a chat with Silvio [Proto, Anderlecht goalkeeper] at half-time and I said he was having an excellent game. He laughed, but he helped us a lot and I had to thank him.

Olivier Deschacht, Anderlecht defender
I'm satisfied with the 1-1 scoreline. We've got a point here in Dortmund against one of the best teams in Europe. We've managed to rack up six points overall in the group stage and last season we only got one. Ultimately we can say that we've not looked out of place in any of our matches – except [the 3-0 home defeat by] Dortmund. Our organisation was key tonight. We were a tad fortunate at times, but we kept on believing in ourselves and in the end I don't think the 1-1 was undeserved.

Dennis Praet, Anderlecht midfielder
We put in a good display, particularly in the first half, where we kept disciplined and didn't let much through. After the break Dortmund improved and played more directly, but the goal still came as something of a shock to us. We recovered, though, and never gave up. To get the equaliser shortly before the end was great for us. We've finished with six points and that's good in a difficult group like this. Now we want to go for it in the Europa League and get as far as we can. We've seen that we can survive at the highest level.
