Treatment has started
There have been rumours all week in the German media concerning the German international's health and today Bayern coach Ottmar Hitzfeld said: "He is receiving treatment. After his great displays this season we thought he had finally made the breakthrough. It is a huge setback."
'Optimistic about the future'
Florian Holsboer, the doctor treating Deisler, said: "It is nothing more and nothing less than typical depression. Sebastian's condition is improving day by day and I am optimistic about the future." The 23-year has made nine Bundesliga appearances this season as well as one in the UEFA Champions League.
