Celtic snap up Camara

Celtic FC have signed Senegalese striker Henri Camara on a one-year loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers FC.

Record deal
The Scottish champions have paid Wolves €2.25m for the 27-year-old's services - a record fee for a loan player in Britain. They will have first option on signing Camara at the end of the season. "I am pleased to have Henri Camara on board," said manager Martin O'Neill. "He will be a welcome addition to the squad and if things go well for him, we will have the option to buy him at the end of the season."

European dream
Camara, who scored seven goals as Wolves were relegated from the English Premiership last term, said the prospect of UEFA Champions League football had been a major factor in the move. "I cannot wait to get started," he said. "Although I have played and scored in [FIFA] World Cup matches for my country, the chance to represent Celtic in the Champions League will be the biggest footballing experience of my life."
