The 24-year-old has been an integral part of Leverkusen's progress in the competition, playing in five of their six group games and scoring in the 3-0 win against FC Dynamo Kyiv on Matchday 6. Babic will miss Leverkusen's Bundesliga game at 1. FC Nürnberg on Saturday and will be absent when their Champions League campaign resumes at Anfield three days later. However, he should recover in time for the second leg in Germany on 9 March.
