'Bags of class'
The 30-year-old, who joined Wolfsburg during the 2007/08 campaign from French side Le Mans UC 72, has committed his future to the club after scoring 28 goals in 25 league games last term. "Grafite is a striker with bags of class and he is enormously important for our team so I am very happy about the contract extension," said coach Armin Veh, who replaced Felix Magath at the end of last season. Grafite added: "I am happy about my contract extension and am looking forward to the Bundesliga season and the UEFA Champions League. The team has plenty planned, and I would like to play my part in ensuring that we continue to be successful." Wolfsburg will compete in the UEFA Champions League group stage.
