Debut season
The 25-year-old has never played in European football having spent the past three seasons with Al-Saad after previously being at Tunisisan side Etoile Sportive du Sahel. "I followed the French league last season and admired Lille's campaign," Keita said. "I'm here to improve and I'm sure under such a coach [Claude Puel] I will."
Five-year deal
Keita has a five-year contract and becomes the club's fourth new signing this summer. Lille, who will enter the UEFA Champions League group stage in September after finishing second in Ligue 1 last season, began their 2005/06 campaign with a 1-0 home win against Stade Rennais FC last weekend. The club are next in action against AC Ajaccio on Saturday.
