'Glad to stay'
The 37-year-old, who has provided cover for first-choice goalkeeper Francesco Toldo since 2001, will now stay at the San Siro club until the end of next season. "Maybe it sounds banal, but I'm really happy," he said of the new deal. "Staying at Inter was my first option. I received several offers but I'm glad to stay."
Previous clubs
Fontana made seven appearances in all competitions last season. The veteran has played previously for AC Cesena, AS Bari, Atalanta BC and SSC Napoli in Serie A.
