Matchday Live returns on Tuesday

Matchday Live is on air in UEFA.com's MatchCentre from 19.30CET on Tuesday, with interviews, commentary and analysis. Host Rob Daly previews the show.

UEFA Champions League Matchday Live is back for the new season and we can't wait to get going.

There are so many reasons to tune in to our featured radio commentary on Tuesday between Galatasaray AŞ and Real Madrid CF. The Turkish champions beat their Liga opposition 3-2 in Istanbul last season, but it was not enough to stop them going out on aggregate at the quarter-final stage.

Galatasaray faced Madrid last season

Madrid themselves are a different beast with Carlo Ancelotti in charge, while the signings of Gareth Bale, Isco and Asier Illarramendi – and the new contract agreed by Cristiano Ronaldo – have signalled their intent to end the wait for 'La Décima', having been stuck on nine victories since 2002.

We will also have reports from Munich as another coach who knows what it is like to win the competition takes charge. Defending European champions FC Bayern München are adapting to life under Josep Guardiola, and their title defence begins against the top side in the Russian Premier League last season, PFC CSKA Moskva.

Defeated by Bayern in the Wembley final last season, Borussia Dortmund get their European campaign underway against SSC Napoli on Wednesday. We will have live updates on UEFA.com as Rafael Benítez, a two-time finalist as Liverpool FC manager, takes on Jürgen Klopp in Germany.

Lionel Messi speaks to Matchday Live

We also have an interview with Lionel Messi ahead of Wednesday's featured commentary game between FC Barcelona and AFC Ajax. Messi may not have ever changed clubs, but many others have this summer – we want you to let us know which summer signing you think will have the biggest impact in the UEFA Champions League and why. Leave us your comments below or tweet us on the show @championsleague using #matchdaylive.

We'll also be hearing from David Moyes, José Mourinho and Franck Ribéry, so tune in via the UEFA.com MatchCentre from 19.30CET on Tuesday and Wednesday as European football experts Andy Brassell (Tuesday) and Paul Saffer (Wednesday) join our panel for the best build-up, live coverage and post-game analysis and reaction on UEFA.com.
