With Borussia Dortmund and FC Bayern München preparing to meet in the UEFA Champions League final on 25 May, UEFA.com wants to know your favourite moments from past finals.
The UEFA Champions League showpiece has often been decided by stunning goals, perhaps never more so than in 2001/02, when Zinédine Zidane's left-footed volley separated Real Madrid CF and Bayer 04 Leverkusen at Hampden Park. There looked to be little danger when Roberto Carlos's cross ballooned into the night sky off a Leverkusen defender but the French international midfielder trusted his technique to arrow an impeccable shot past Jörg Butt.
Yet Zidane has competition for the prize of best UEFA Champions League final goal. Both Lars Ricken, whose delightful finish sealed a 3-1 win for Dortmund against Juventus in 1996/97, and Dejan Savićević, the scorer of a measured lob for AC Milan against FC Barcelona in 1993/94, are worthy candidates.
Perhaps, though, it is a moment of extreme drama that sticks in the mind. Who can forget Manchester United FC's late rally against Bayern in 1998/99, or Jerzy Dudek's stunning save from Andriy Shevchenko in the thrilling 2005 final between Liverpool FC and Milan?
There have also been instances of joyous celebration and emotional release: José Mourinho's delight at FC Internazionale's 2009/10 triumph or the ecstasy of an 18-year-old Patrick Kluivert in the 1994/95 decider, for instance. Perhaps the sight of John Terry fighting back the tears following Chelsea FC's 2007/08 defeat by United is embedded in your memory.
