The latest from the world's best club competition.
Mourinho: "I imagine [still being a manager at 71]. I would love to, given that I am healthy. Sir Alex [Ferguson] is unique and I don't have any words that can add to what everybody thinks about him. He deserves the respect of everyone. I've won, lost and drawn against him, so I've had a bit of everything against United.
"My teams have played so many times here, maybe ten or 12 times at Old Trafford and 20 times with Inter, Chelsea and Porto, in all competitions, so I don't care about records. I know football well enough to say that anything could happen tomorrow, we could go through or equally we could go out."

Mourinho: "The last game Pepe played he showed his quality, physically and tactically. He is an astute player. United are on a fantastic run and have not lost a match in months. We are also on a good run but who knows who will make the difference. Tomorrow the world will stop to watch this tie."

When questioned about FC Porto's memorable round of 16 triumph at Old Trafford in 2003/04, Mourinho said: "It means the same. But I approach the situation differently with different emotions. To win a big match is the same as it was nine years ago. If I lose tomorrow I won't cry and if I win I will not be running 100 metres down the touchline."
Meanwhile, in Dortmund, FC Shakhtar Donetsk boss Mircea Lucescu has made a bold statement, while preparing his team for a turbulent ride tomorrow evening. "Dortmund are strong and have shown they can open teams up with relative ease," he said. "Jürgen Klopp is a world-class coach and we expect to come under a lot of pressure. It will not be easy by any means.I predict the team that wins will make it to the Champions League final."

This morning's Süddeutsche Zeitung highlights the importance of Borussia Dortmund duo Mats Hummels and Robert Lewandowski to the Yellow-Blacks' hopes of progression against FC Shakhtar Donetsk this evening. "It's no longer a secret in Dortmund that this confident team have begun to believe they can pull off the biggest coup of all [and win the] Champions League," writes the German daily. "Albeit only with Mats Hummels and Robert Lewandowski."
Defender Hummels caught the flu last week and so missed out on the German Cup exit against domestic rivals FC Bayern München, as well as Saturday's 3-1 victory against Hannover 96 in the Bundesliga. The main positive from that game was the scoring return of striker Lewandowski, who netted twice in the unfamiliar role of playmaker behind Saturday's striker Julian Schieber.
Lewandowski had been due to serve the third match of a suspension but had his ban reduced on appeal and returned a game early. The Pole received a round of applause on his successful return to the dressing room and will doubtless lead the line against Shakhtar tonight.
