Arsenal sign Spanish youth sensation

Arsenal FC have signed 16-year-old attacking midfield player Cesc Fabregas from FC Barcelona.

Arsenal FC have announced the signing of 16-year-old attacking midfield player Cesc Fabregas on their official website.

Six-goal haul
The former FC Barcelona youngster, whose full name is Francesc Fabregas Soler, won the two individual awards at this summer's FIFA Under-17 World Championship in Finland. He was voted the player of the tournament and won the Golden Boot after his six goals helped Spain reach the final, where they lost against Brazil.

'Real vision'
"He is a playmaker," said Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger, "someone with real vision. He has all the ingredients to be a big player."
