S.S. Lazio defender Giuseppe Favalli has successfully appealed against the three-match ban he received in the wake of the Roman club's UEFA Champions League match against FC Nantes Atlantique on 30 October.

Stamp on Da Rocha
Favalli was handed the suspension by UEFA's Control & Disciplinary Body for a stamp on the calf of Nantes forward Frédéric da Rocha during Lazio's 1-0 defeat.

Yellow card
The match referee, Terje Hauge, spotted the incident and gave Favalli a yellow card so although the UEFA Appeals Body agreed the player had been guilty of "an act of assault", the ban was waived as he had already been punished on the night.
