Canales to join Madrid from Racing
The promising Real Racing Club forward Sergio Canales, 18, will become a Real Madrid CF player next season on a six-year contract after the clubs agreed a transfer for an undisclosed fee.
Real Madrid CF have won the race to sign teenage Real Racing Club forward Sergio Canales.
The 18-year-old will officially join Madrid on 1 July on a contract running until 2016 after moving for an undisclosed fee. Canales, part of the Spain team that won the 2008 UEFA European Under-17 Championship, made his senior debut last season but has come to prominence this term with six goals in 15 appearances in all competitions. While Canales remains at Racing, Madrid continue their UEFA Champions League campaign on Tuesday with a trip to Olympique Lyonnais for the first leg of their first knockout round tie.
