Bordeaux win 'perfect' for Ciani

Published: Tuesday 23 February 2010, 23.18CET
FC Girondins de Bordeaux defender Michaël Ciani was upbeat after his header earned a 1-0 UEFA Champions League first knockout round first-leg win at Olympiacos FC, despite frustration at not finding the net again. "I could have scored a second," Ciani said. "It would have put the tie beyond doubt. We struggled a lot in the second half but in the end we will return to France with a win, which is perfect for us."
