Midfielder Grégory Sertic is to remain an FC Girondins de Bordeaux player until the summer of 2014 at least after signing a two-year contract extension with the French titleholders.

The 20-year-old Bordeaux academy product has impressed sufficiently to earn a new deal despite making only 11 top-flight appearances, including five this season, since his Ligue 1 debut on 29 April. His previous contract had been due to expire in June 2012.

The French Under-21 international featured twice as a substitute during Bordeaux's UEFA Champions League group-stage campaign. Team-mates Henrique, David Bellion and Jussiê all recently put pen to paper on extended contracts.
