Pjanić pride in Lyon strength

Published: Thursday 11 March 2010, 0.32CET
Goalscorer Miralem Pjanić praised the way Olympique Lyonnais "held firm" against Real Madrid CF at the Santiago Bernabéu to progress to the last eight of the UEFA Champions League. "We felt very strong," said the midfielder, whose 75th-minute equaliser earned Les Gones a 1-1 draw which sent them through 2-1 on aggregate. "We managed to concede only once early as they started strongly with their fans pushing them hard, but another goal [for Lyon] in the second half would have been deserved. We held firm and we're happy."
