Having been take off with a calf-injury at half-time in Olympique Lyonnais' tie-winning 1-1 draw at Real Madrid CF on Wednesday, defender Jean-Alain Boumsong may miss the first leg of his side's UEFA Champions League quarter-final tie.

The club say the 30-year-old will be out of action "for the next two to three weeks" making him a doubt for the last-eight opener, which will take place on 30 or 31 March. Midfielder Jean II Makoun, who scored Lyon's goal in the 1-0 first-leg win against Madrid, is also carrying a groin injury though it is not yet clear how long he will be out of action. The quarter-final draw will take place at UEFA headquarters in Nyon on Friday 19 March.
