Negredo sorry for Sevilla fans

Published: Tuesday 16 March 2010, 23.44CET
Sevilla FC striker Álvaro Negredo said his side were facing a UEFA Champions League last-16 exit from the moment PFC CSKA Moskva went 2-1 up in Spain to set up a 3-2 aggregate victory. "It was a really hard game for us," he said. "We went behind once and pulled it back but their second goal was a big blow. We tried to turn it around again but they were very strong at the back especially after they went in front. Above all it represents a big disappointment for our fans who deserved more."
