Zanetti enjoys 'unique emotion'

Published: Sunday 23 May 2010, 0.08CET
Javier Zanetti experienced a new sensation at the age of 36 after captaining FC Internazionale Milano to victory in the UEFA Champions League final. "It's a unique emotion because I have wanted this cup for 15 years," he said. "After winning the Coppa Italia and the league I was missing this, the most important trophy. Now I can say I'm the captain of a great Inter side. I think I'm in the best period of my career, I feel stronger today than yesterday. I don't think I could play better than I have this season."
