Sevilla move to tie down Cala

Sevilla have extended the contract of promising centre-back Juan Torres Ruiz, with the 20-year-old known as Cala now tied to the UEFA Champions League play-off entrants until June 2014.

Sevilla FC have tied down promising Juan Torres Ruiz until June 2014 after the centre-back, 20, agreed a two-year contract extension.

Following an impressive first-team debut against Rangers FC in last season's UEFA Champions League, the player widely known as Cala went on to make seven further appearances in all competitions for the Andalusian side, scoring three goals. Sevilla will look to return to European football's top club competition via August's play-offs.
