Samir Nasri may miss the start of Arsenal FC's UEFA Champions League group stage campaign after undergoing an operation to resolve a knee injury sustained during Sunday's 1-1 Premier League draw at Liverpool FC.
The north London club said the 23-year-old French international midfielder will be unavailable for about a month, making him doubtful for UEFA Champions League Matchday 1 on 14 and 15 September. Arsenal qualified directly for the group stage by finishing third in the English table last season, although former Olympique de Marseille player Nasri sat out the opening of that campaign with a broken leg.
