William Gallas has joined UEFA Champions League play-off contenders Tottenham Hotspur FC on a one-year deal.
Gallas, 33, completed his move to White Hart Lane after passing a medical over the weekend. The French international defender left Spurs' north London rivals Arsenal FC this summer having played 101 league games during four seasons under Arsène Wenger's charge. He also spent five years at Chelsea FC after beginning his career in his homeland with SM Caen and Olympique de Marseille. Spurs must overturn a 3-2 deficit against BSC Young Boys in the home leg of their play-off on Wednesday if they are to reach the UEFA Champions League group stage.
