Ronaldo will miss the second leg of Real Madrid CF's UEFA Champions League first knockout round encounter against FC Bayern München after tearing the hamstring in his left leg.
Limped off
The Brazilian striker limped off with 17 minutes to go in Madrid's 1-1 draw against Real Racing Club Santander on Sunday. Madrid go into the second leg against the German champions on Wednesday with the score level at 1-1 and will also be without defender Roberto Carlos, who is suspended.
Bilbao return
Madrid doctor Alfonso del Corral said: "It could have been a lot worse but he'll definitely miss the games against Bayern and Real Zaragoza in the league next weekend. Our aim is to get him back fit for the game against Athletic [Club] Bilbao on 21 March as we're not going to rush the return." Ronaldo is also expected to be unavailable for the Copa del Rey final on 17 March.
